Chippa United will look to extend their unbeaten run in the Absa Premiership when they host SuperSport United at Sisa Dukashe Stadium on 28 April 2018, kick-off at 15h00.

Chippa have gone three league matches without defeat after they were held 0-0 at Bloemfontein Celtic on April 24. It was the Eastern Cape side’s 14th draw of the season.

The Chilli Boys have claimed 19 points from 14 home matches this season, with their last outing as hosts ending in a 1-1 draw with Ajax Cape Town in mid-April.

SuperSport claimed their first league win since early February when they defeated Free State Stars 3-2 at home on April 25. However, the Tshwane team remains just one point clear of the relegation playoff zone.

Matsatsantsa have claimed 11 points from 14 away matches this season, with their last game on the road ending in a 0-0 draw at Cape Town City in mid-April.

In head-to-head stats, SuperSport and Chippa have met in nine league matches since 2012/13. Matsatsantsa have claimed four wins compared to just one for the Chilli Boys, while four matches have finished in draws. The Eastern Cape side has won just once from four turns as hosts in the rivalry, suffering two defeats in the process.

When the teams met earlier this season, in Tshwane in September 2017, they played to a 1-1 draw thanks to goals from Siyabonga Nhlapo and Moeketsi Sekola. The result was a third draw from the last four league meetings of the clubs.

Chippa’s line-up from their 0-0 draw with Celtic on April 24: Akpeyi, Macheke, Nsabiyumva, Okwuosa, Mako, Sali, Mabaso, Rakhale, Lentjies (Mntambo 76’), Mayambela (Manqele 88’), Mashego (Mbenyane 89’).

SuperSport’s line-up from their 3-2 win over Stars on April 25: Williams, Kekana, Gould Daniels, Boateng, Furman, Letsholonyane (Mokoena 60’), Phala, Modiba (Ngele 85’), Mnyamane (Nkhatha 77’), Rusike.
