Free State Stars and Polokwane City drew 0-0 in an Absa Premiership match at the Goble Park on Saturday afternoon.

As a result, Ea Lla Koto moved down to sixth place on the league standings, while Rise and Shine climbed up to 13th place.

Ea Lla Koto and Rise and Shine battled for control of the game from the start with the two teams struggling to create chances.

The only real chance of the first half fell for Siphelele Mthembu, but the Stars striker was denied by Polokwane goalkeeper Harold Ndlovu.

The 27-year-old shot-stopper ensured that the first half ended goalless.

The hosts suffered a blow five minutes into the second-half as they were reduced to 10 men.

Tebogo Potsane received his second yellow card and he was sent off, and Ea Lla Koto had to play with 10 players.

However, Stars defence looked solid and organized with captain Paulus Masehe working tirelessly.

The match ended in a 0-0 stalemate after Polokwane failed to take advantage of their numerical superiority over Stars.
