Heartland assistant coach Isaac Mbaegbu admitted that they lost to a better side following their clash with Kano Pillars.

Two goals from Junior Lokosa helped Pillars overcome Heartland 2-0 in a Nigeria Professional Football League match at the Sani Abacha Stadium on Sunday.

Speaking on the league’s official website, Mbaegbu stated that he was optimistic that they will defeat Pillars when they meet again on Sunday.

“It was a good game,” Mbaegbu said after the encounter.

Pillars is a good team and as you can see my boys gave a good account of themselves,

“We will pay them back in the same coin when we meet in the second phase of the league.”

The defeat left Heartland at the bottom of the league standings, while Pillars are sitting on position three.
