Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Pitso Mosimane has applauded the contribution of outgoing Khama Billiat at the club.
The Zimbabwe international, whose contract with Sundowns expires next month, is expected to leave the South African giants as a free agent.
Billiat played an important role in helping Sundowns clinch the 2017/18 Absa Premiership title.
“It’s good for a player like Khama to win his last championship with us and give him a farewell,” Mosimane told The Sowetan.
“Five years with us and he has done exceptionally well for us and we have to accept that he is moving on.
“He has contributed and it’s good for him to leave on a high note.”
Billiat, who joined Sundowns from Ajax Cape Town in 2013, won three league titles and the 2016 CAF Champions League with the Pretoria giants.
The 27-year-old is yet to confirm his next destination, but the talented forward is keen to move overseas.
He has scored eight goals in 16 league appearances for the Brazilians during current campaign.
