Township Rollers head coach Nikola Kavazovic lauded his technical team following their narrow win over Uniao Flamengo Santos.
The Blues had to fight back to defeat Santos 4-3 in a BTC Premiership match at the Molepolole Sports Complex on Sunday afternoon.
“Today was the second time this season that we conceded three quick goals,” Kavazovic said.
“Against Miscellaneous earlier in the season when we lost our first match the same thing happened, and it was schoolboy errors you expect from seven year olds, not professional footballers playing for Township Rollers.
Joel Mogorosi (brace), Simisani Mathumo, and Mthokozisi Msomi netted for Rollers, while Eric Molefi (brace) and Odirile Kgaodi scored for Santos.
“At half time I just went into the dressing room to make those two substitutions, I did not have the energy to do the team talk,” he continued.
“So I give credit to my assistants, Leutlwetse ‘Luu’ Tshireletso and Thabo ‘Mahala’ Motang, they did the half time team talk and they advised me on the third substitution.
“So today’s victory had nothing to do with me, I give credit to Luu and Thabo Mahala, and the players who picked their game in the second half.”
The win took Rollers back to the top of the league standings - two points above second place Jwaneng Galaxy with two games left.
The Rollers are looking to win their third consecutive BTC Premiership title.
