Zambian Super Division side Zesco United are out to beat Mbabane Swallows when they meet in a CAF Champions League, Group D match on Saturday.
Team Ya Ziko started on a low note in the first round as they were beaten by Cote d’Ivoire giants Asec Mimosas.
Zesco lost 1-0 at home and some ruled them out of the tournament, but the defied all odds by bagging a 2-1 win away in Abidjan.
The victory ensured their passage with a 2-2 aggregate scoreline following the away goals rule and under coach George Lwandamina they will want to repeat their 2016 feat.
United finished in the semi-finals in the 2016 edition as they lost to eventual champions Mamelodi Sundowns on aggregate.
Looking at the Swazi giants, Swallows are set to face another Zambia outfit after beating Zanaco in a two-legged affair in the first round.
They beat Zanaco 2-1 in Zambia and 1-0 in the second leg to ensure they were in the group stages.
Also known as the Birds, the Swazi Premier Soccer League side will want to fly the country’s flag high.
The Group D encounter is scheduled to be staged on Saturday at 15:00 (CAT) at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.
