Cote d’Ivoire’s Asec Mimosas are at home hosting Aduana Stars of Ghana in their CAF Confederation Cup, Group A match on Sunday afternoon.
The Ivorians started in the CAF Champions League, but were booted out by Zambia’s Zesco United.
They beat the Southern African 1-0 away in Ndola, but would succumb to a 2-1 defeat at home in Abidjan to see their campaign coming to an end.
The loss meant they were demoted to the Confederation Cup play-offs where they faced CR Belouizdad and claimed a 1-0 win at home before securing a goalless draw away in Algiers.
A look at the visitors, the Ghanaian giants are fresh from two wins over Fosa Juniors over a two-legged affair.
They won 6-1 at home and went on to lose 2-1 away in Madagascar, but they reached the group stages with a 7-3 aggregate scoreline.
This encounter will be staged at 18:00 (CAT) and the venue is the Stade Félix Houphouët-Boigny in Abidjan.
