The visitors tried to push for the equalizing goal, but they found it difficult to penetrate the Mimosas defence which was led by Burkina Faso defender Souleymane Koanda.
Stars introduced Bright Adjei, who is a striker by trade, in the 70th minute as the visitors searched for a late equalizer.
