With Mamelodi Sundowns set to host Barcelona in an international friendly on May 15, CAF has decided to move their CAF Champions League match.
The 2016 African champions were set to face AC Horoya in their second Group C clash away in Conakry.
However, with the Spanish La Liga giants coming to South Africa, the clash been moved from May 15 to May 22.
Sundowns made the request to allow them to play the La Liga side in a friendly as part of celebrations for the 100th anniversary of the birth of the anti-apartheid icon Nelson Mandela.
“Following a cordial agreement between the two clubs, the group C match day 2, between Horoya (Guinea) and Mamelodi Sundowns (South Africa) has been rescheduled for Tuesday, 22 May 2018 at the Stade 28 Septembre in Conakry, Guinea,” CAF statement reads in part.
Meanwhile, the other Group C match between Wydad Athletic Club and AS Togo-Port will go as planned on May 15.
Sundowns and Wydad have one point in the group whilst Togo-Port have zero after their loss to leaders Horoya who have three at the summit.
