The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has provisionally approved Aduana Stars’ home ground, the Nana Agyemang Badu Park in Dormaa, to host Confederation Cup group stage matches.
The venue reportedly needed some upgrades before making the grade for this high-profile stage of the continental competition, but this has since been completed to CAF’s satisfaction.
This means that Aduana Stars will be able to host Moroccan giants Raja Casablanca at their home stadium for next Wednesday’s Matchday 2 clash in Group A of the Confed Cup.
The Ghanaian champions will also welcome DR Congo heavyweights AS Vita on Matchday 3 in July and Ivorian contenders ASEC Mimosas on Matchday 5 in August.
Stars opened their Group A campaign with a 1-0 loss away to ASEC in Abidjan this past weekend.
