Leicester City manager Claude Puel has ruled Nigerian midfielder Wilfred Ndidi out of tonight’s Premier League match at home to Arsenal.
The Super Eagles player suffered a hamstring injury in the Foxes’ 5-0 loss to Crystal Palace on April 28 and missed last weekend’s defeat to West Ham United.
The 21-year-old has made good progress in his recovery and even posted the following on his official Twitter page earlier this week, prompting speculation that he could make an earlier-than-expected return.
However, Puel has since confirmed that Ndidi is one of four players who will definitely miss the game against the Gunners.
“We are sure that Ndidi, [Matty] James, [Daniel] Amartey, [Robert] Huth are not available, then after, other players, I don’t know,” Puel said in a pre-match conference.
The match at the King Power Stadium kicks off at 20h45 CAT.
