With Zambia preparing for the 2018 COSAFA Cup tournament in South Africa, coach Beston Chambeshi has set his targets.

The coach was handed the coaching reigns by the country’s football association ahead of the Southern African regional tournament.

South Africa will host this year's edition from May 27 to June 9 as Chambeshi will stand-in for his boss Wedson Nyirenda due to the latter supervising Zambia’s 2019 U20 AFCON qualifier.

“Every coach wants to win the tournament but we have to make sure we make a strong team that is going there to compete,” Chambeshi said to LusakaTimes.

“My target is to build a team that is disciplined and can deliver.

“We want to see players who can come and stay at national level because we have seen a lot of changes. We need players who are serious.”

Zambia will face Namibia in the quarter-finals on June 2 in Polokwane and both nations will start their campaigns in the last eight stage after enjoying a preliminary group stage bye. CLICK HERE TO VISIT AFRICAN FOOTBALL ZAMBIA
