The Absa Premiership’s ‘Draw Kings’, Polokwane City and Chippa United, will conclude their seasons with a meeting at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium on 12 May 2018, kick-off at 15h00.

Polokwane played to their 15th draw of the season when they were held 0-0 at Free State Stars on April 28. The result left the Limpopo side just two points clear of the relegation playoff zone and in need of a positive result in this game to guarantee safety.

Rise and Shine have claimed just 15 points from 14 home matches this season, with their last result as hosts a 1-1 draw against Cape Town City on April 25.

Chippa also reached 15 draws for the season on April 28, as they were held 1-1 at home by SuperSport United. The Eastern Cape side are placed eighth coming into this match, with only goal difference keeping them in the top half ahead of Bloemfontein Celtic and Bidvest Wits.

The Chilli Boys have claimed just 16 points from 14 away matches this season, with their last result in the road a goalless stalemate at Bloemfontein Celtic on April 24.

In head-to-head stats, Chippa and Polokwane have met in seven league matches since 2014/15. Rise and Shine have claimed four wins compared to one for the Chilli Boys, while two matches have been drawn. The Limpopo side has a 100 percent home record in the rivalry, with three wins from as many games.

When the teams met earlier this season, Polokwane claimed a 1-0 away in the Eastern Cape thanks to a late penalty from Rodney Ramagalela. It was a fourth successive league match in which the Chilli Boys failed to scored against Rise and Shine.

Polokwane’s line-up from their 0-0 draw with Stars on April 28: Ndlovu, Ramagalela, Ravhuhali, Semenya (Phiri 74'), Mbonani, Tshilo, Manaka, Seabi (Musona 56') Miya (W. Maluleke 67'), Booi, Maluleke.

Chippa’s line-up from their 1-1 draw with SuperSport on April 28: Akpeyi, Manqele (Mbokoma 67’), Mashego (Machupu 66’), Okwuosa (Modisane 46’), Macheke, Nsabiyumva, Rakhale, Mntambo, Mabaso, Sali, Mako.
