Arsenal’s purchase of Gabon striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang looks to set to be far more costly if the player enjoys a long and successful career at the Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners paid a hefty £56.1m to sign the 28-year-old from Borussia Dortmund in January, agreeing to pay him £198,000 a week according to the Mirror.
But Football Leaks reveals Aubameyang will be paid a £15.15m loyalty bonus – in four instalments – if he's still at the club at the end of his current contract in 2021.
The Panthers forward will also pocket £300,000 if he manages 25 goals and assists in a single campaign.
Given that he's managed a combined 13 since his arrival at the club in late January, he’ll be confident of reaching this mark in 2018/19.
In addition, he earns £50,000 for every Gunners Premier League match that he starts which ends in victory, and he will also receive a £2.26m Champions League bonus despite the Gunners not qualifying for the competition this season.
