TP Mazembe beat Difaa El Jadidi 2-0 in the 2018 CAF Champions League Group B match at the Stade El Abdi in El Jadidi on Tuesday.
The win sees the DR Congo giants maintain their lead at the top of Group B standings, while Morocco's El Jadidi moved down to third place on the table.
Mazembe dominated the match from the start as they searched for an early goal which would have unsettled the El Jadidi defence.
Aziz El Qunani, the El Jadidi goalkeeper, had to produce a fine save to deny Mazembe defender Joel Kimwaki from a corner-kick a few minutes into the game.
The hosts then grew in confidence and Ayoub Nanah's shaved the Mazembe goal-posts in the 27th minute with keeper Sylvain Gbohouo well-beaten.
However, the last chance of the first half fell for Mazembe striker Ben Malango on the stroke of half-time.
The DR Congo international fired over the crossbar without testing El Qinani in El Jadidi's goal-posts.
The score was 0-0 at half-time following an evenly contested first-half in Morocco.
Mazembe began the second-half brightly and they managed to break the deadlock through their targetman Malango.
The marksman headed home Adama Traore's delightful cross to make it 1-0 to Mazembe with El Qinani well-beaten six minutes into the second-half.
It was soon 2-0 to the visitors and this time it was Abdoulaye Sissoko, who hit the back of the net in the 55th minute.
Malango turned provider as he set-up Sissoko and the latter fired home a low shot to make it 2-0 to Mazembe with the El Jadidi defence exposed.
Bilal El Megri then replaced Anouar Jayid as El Jadidi looked to fight back and pull one back against the Ravens.
However, Ivory Coast international Gbohouo produced great late saves to deny the hosts a consolation goal in the latter stages of the encounter.
Ultimately, Mazembe secured a 2-0 win over El Jadidi, who were left to rue their missed chances.
