Esperance coach Khaled Yahia has hailed their 4-1 win over Botswana’s Township Rollers in their second CAF Champions League, Group A tie on Tuesday.
The massive win at home leaves the Tunisians at the top of Group A on four points.
Uganda’s KCCA lie in second place on three points after they claimed a surprise win over Al Ahly (who are bottom of the log) earlier in the day.
TOWNSHIP ROLLERS GO DOWN 4-1 IN RADES
Anice Badri’s brace and strikes from Youcef Belaili as well as Moez Bilel Mejri gave the hosts the win in Rades whilst Segolame Boy scored for the visitors.
“We played an excellent game today. The players were serious and well disciplined, applying everything we did in practice," said the coach to CAF website.
“We had difficulties in the last 15 minutes of the first half, after having conceded a goal. We won because or opponents were exhausted.
“They could no longer keep up with our pace. If the players had paid more attention, we could have easily won by five or six goals.”
Yahia’s troops will now focus on their third group match against KCCA at home on July 17.
