Raja Casablanca failed to secure a win in Ghana as they drew 3-3 against Aduana Stars in a CAF Confederation Cup, Group A match at Agyeman Badu Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.

In the wake of the draw, the North Africans now occupy number three in the group with two points from as many draws.

Casablanca looked threatening in the early stages and Mahmoud Benhalib opened the scoring for the Moroccans in the 11th minute, 1-0.

In their response, the hosts made amends and scored courtesy of Ikama Ulitch in the 21st minute, 1-1.

In the run up to the end of the opening half, the visitors upped their search for a second goal and were able to break the hosts’ defence.

Lema Mabidi doubled Casablanca’s lead with a fine finish in the 39th minute to restore their lead heading to the tunnel, 2-1.

Just after their return for the second stanza, Stars fought harder in their probe to come back into the game and managed to find the back of the net courtesy of Caleb Amankwah in the 49th minute, 2-2.

Benhalib completed his brace in the 61st minute after an assist from Zakaria Hadraf as Raja regained their lead for the second time, 3-3.

As the Moroccans took their feet off the pedal, Nathaniel Asamoah netted an equaliser for Stars in the 90th minute to make it 3-3.

The point for Stars is their first in the group stages and sees them placed at the bottom of the standings.
