Hearts of Oak new signing Ernest Sowah says he wants to help the club win titles after joining the team on a two-and-a-half-year deal.
The 30-year-old joined the Phobians as a free agent after he mutually terminated his contract with Asante Kotoko last week.
Hearts of Oak are one of the most successful Ghanaian clubs having won 20 Premier League titles plus 10 FA Cups.
Sowah revealed what he aims to achieve with the Phobians, who have conceded 13 goals in 11 league games this season.
“Yes I have signed for hearts of Oak for two and half years, it’s a personal decision I took and if it wasn’t good I wouldn’t have signed but I believe it will help me as well as my family,” Sowah said on Happy FM.
“My main objective is to help Hearts of Oak win African competition as well as the league, which has eluded them for the past eleven (11) years, not forgetting the FA Cup too.”
“What I will tell Hearts fans is that I thank them for the confidence they have in me and also given me this great opportunity to don the Phobian jersey.”
The last time Hearts of Oak won the league title was in 2009.
