Egypt national team coach Hector Cuper believes Mohamed Salah’s stay with Chelsea in the English Premier League has helped him evolve as a player.
The Pharaohs’ national team coach says Salah‘s transformation at Liverpool can be traced back to his time at the Blues.
The Egyptian forward netted 44 goals in his debut for the Reds season, 32 of which came in the Premier League as he set a new record for goals scored in a 38-game season.
Moreover, the coach stated that Salah’s difficulty in making his breakthrough during his time at Stamford Bridge is the main reason for his evolution with Liverpool.
“Salah had a dramatic evolution thanks to the increase of his efforts, mainly because of the experiences that he garnered in Switzerland and Chelsea,” said Cuper to KingFut.com.
“He was very young and is still very young. The demands began to be different and he has dealt with that process very well.
“He is a very humble guy, very simple, a player who is not at all confrontational. Usually, he listens a lot even though he is a very important player to the team.
“But behind every great player, there is the team. No player can do everything. We have a team that supporters, maintains and helps, just like him, he also contributes a lot.”
Salah is hoping to continue his form this season as Liverpool are set to travel to Kiev to play against Real Madrid in the Champions League final on May 26.
