Botswana Defence Force (BDF) XI ended the 2017/18 BTC Premiership campaign with draw on Monday.

Matebele hosted Sharps Shooting Stars at the Molepolole Sports Complex with the two teams set to play their final league game of the season.

The hosts broke the deadlock 19 minutes into the game and it was Lovemore Bogatsu, who hit the back of the net to make it 1-0 to BDF.

The score was 1-0 to Matebele during the half-time break with the Excellence Stars having failed to level matters.

The Excellence Stars pushed for the equalizing goal in the second-half and they managed to restore parity after the hour-mark.

Letlhogonolo Chenjela scored to make it 1-1 for Sharps in the 66th minute with the visitors having worked tirelessly for their equalizing goal.

The two teams were unable to find a late winning goal and ultimately, the match ended in a 1-1 stalemate.

The draw left BDF and Sharps placed sixth, and seventh respectively on the league standings.
