Algerian national team coach Rabah Madjer has announced his 24-man squad ahead of their two upcoming international friendlies.

The Desert Foxes are set to face Cape Verde and Portugal as they prepare for the 2019 CAF African Cup of Nations Qualifiers in September.

In his squad, Madjer called up 16 players who were born in Algeria and eight who were born in Europe.

Rais M’Bolhi, Rafik Halliche and Sofiane Feghouli are making their returns whilst Mokhtar Belkhiter is called up for the first time since January 2017.

On the other hand, there is no place for Adam Ounas, Sofiane Hanni or Saphir Taider in the squad as well as Strasbourg goalkeeper Alexandre Oukidja and Ryad Boudebouz.

Algeria will face Tubaroes Azuis on Friday, June 01 at home and meet the A Selecao das Quinas on Thursday, June 07 in Lisboa.
