Mauritius will lock horns with Malawi in their first 2018 COSAFA Cup Group B match at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium on Monday.
Kick-off is at 19h30 CAT.
The Dodos will be in action for the first time since March 2018 having defeated Mongolia 2-0 in an international friendly match in Ulaanbaatar.
Mauritius have been participating in the COSAFA Cup since 2000 and they have never reached the semi-finals.
They will be keen to make history this year by winning Group B and go on to reach the last four.
Meanwhile, Malawi will be back in action for the first time since March 2018 having drawn 0-0 with Uganda in a friendly match in Kampala.
The Flames have been runners-up in two COSAFA Cup competitions, reaching the final for the first time in 2002 and the making the decider again the following year.
They will be eager to win Group B and go all the way to the final, and clinch their maiden trophy.
Mauritius and Malawi have met 11 times in all competitions.
The Flames have recorded seven wins compared to the Dodos’ one victory.
Three games ended in a draw.
