Botswana international midfielder Eric Molefi says he is humbled to get an opportunity to represent his country at the 2018 COSAFA Cup tournament.

The regional showpiece is staged in Limpopo, South Africa and the Zebras international expressed delight after he was included in the squad.

Currently on the books of relegated Union Flamengo Santos, Molefi says he is ready to set the COSAFA Cup alight and establish himself into the Botswana senior team.

The 24-year-old winger has just earned his first call up to the Zebras squad and is happy that the opportunity came at the right time as he is at the peak of his game.

Molefi was a key player and captain for his relegated side who went down from the Botswana Premiership into the First Division.

“I am very happy and humbled to have been selected to represent my country at the COSAFA Cup tournament. I am looking forward to showcase my talent and work for the team,” Molefi told the COSAFA website.

“We have been working hard at training, we have great coaches who are also father figures to us so it has been easy to work with them.”

The man nicknamed 'Cantona' has represented Botswana in all junior teams and said the experience he has gained will help overcome stage fright in a big tournament like the COSAFA Cup.
