Cote d’Ivoire and Crystal Palace striker Wilfried Zaha is set to stay with the Eagles, according to the club’s assistant manager Ray Lewington.
Lewington has been full of praise for Zaha and has stressed his importance to the Eagles, saying the fans love him.
The Elephants international has been a key man for Palace again over the past 12 months, scoring nine goals to help the Eagles climb away from the relegation zone and finish in 11th place in the English Premier League.
"Wilf is so important to Crystal Palace. He's the darling of the crowd," he told talkSPORT.
"He is, possibly, the best player I've ever seen running with the ball at pace; if he gets that final ball more consistent, then...
"I certainly wouldn't want to play against him every week."
When asked about his thought on the news that the former Manchester United forward could leave Selhurst Park, Lewington said he doesn’t think so.
"I think so, certainly for the time being, he wants to play for us - the crowd love him, they just adore him," he added.
