Swaziland will lock horns with Botswana in the 2018 COSAFA Cup plate semi-final match at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane, South Africa on Tuesday.

Kick-off is at 19h30 CAT.

Sihlangu Semnikati were stunned 1-0 by Likuena of Lesotho in a quarter-final match which was played in Polokwane on Saturday.

As a result, Swaziland, who were given a by in the first round (group stage), will now take on a stubborn Botswana side in the plate semi-finals.

Anthony Mdluli, the Sihlangu Semnikati head coach, will be desperate to mastermind a victory over the Zebras.

The tactician will look to team captain Tony Tsabedze and lethal forward Felix Badenhorst.

Badenhorst scooped the 2016 Cosafa Cup Golden Boot, while Tsabedze tends to provide both goals and assists for his side.

Meanwhile, Botswana were beaten 3-1 on penalties by Zimbabwe following a 1-1 stalemate in the quarter-final game in Polokwane on Sunday.

The Zebras reached the quarter-finals after winning Group B, but they lost to the Warriors of Zimbabwe, who are the defending champions.

Botswana head coach Major David Bright stressed the importance of defeating Swaziland on Tuesday.

“We will be going all out against Eswatini in order to revive our confidence," Bright said.

“The team played well against Zimbabwe, but we could not score the winning goal.

"This is not the end of the road for us as we have to win on Tuesday (tomorrow) and salvage some pride," he continued.

"I know my players will be all out in this match after this disappointing loss to Zimbabwe.”

The Zebras' key players are Kabelo Seakanyeng and 2016 COSAFA Cup Player of the Tournament Onkabetse Makgantai.

The two forwards have both scored three goals in this year's competition.

The winner between Botswana and Namibia will take on either South Africa and Namibia in the plate final on Friday.
