Latest news regarding the future of Egypt and Stoke City’s Ramadan Sobhi is that he is set to undergo a medical with Huddersfield Town.

According to the Egyptian Football Association, Sobhi has been released from the national camp to hold talks and have a medical ahead of a move to Huddersfield.

Sobhi played in Egypt's 0-0 draw against Colombia in Italy on Saturday, but has been allowed to make a brief return to England to complete his move.

"Ramadan Sobhi is undergoing a medical screening to move to Huddersfield Town and will return (to Italy) this afternoon," said the EFA.

The North African international joined Stoke from Egyptian champions Al Ahly in 2016 on a five-year contract extension last August.

Moreover, the 21-year-old scored twice and added one assist in 24 English Premier League appearances last season as Stoke were relegated to the English Championship.

Sobhi will represent his country at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia as they will begin their campaign against Uruguay on June 15, before playing hosts Russia on June 19 and Saudi Arabia on June 25.
