Latest media reports suggest that Algerian international Zinedine Ferhat has attracted interest from French side Nantes.

The player also known as Algeria’s assist-merchant is in talks with the French Ligue 1 side following a stellar season with Le Havre Athletic Club.

The Desert Foxes’ right-sided midfielder clocked a monumental 20 assists in Ligue 2 for Le Havre this past season.

The player’s contract expires in 2019, but HAC are demanding €5m in order to part ways with the North African player, a fee that a number of interested sides in Ligue 1 are currently put off by.

Despite the fact that Nantes are currently without a manager, president Waldemar Kita is forging ahead with summer signings and is personally involved in ongoing talks with Ferhat’s camp.

Having played in 39 matches for Le Havre, the midfielder provided 20 assists and netted five goals for the Ligue 2 side.
