Aston Villa's Albert Adomah

Ghanaian attacker Albert Adomah is likely to stay with EFL Championship side Aston Villa for at least the 2018/19 season, according to new reports.
The Birmingham Mail reports that Adomah, who has been linked with return to fellow EFL side Middlesbrough, has no desire to leave Villa Park.
This comes as great news for Villains fans, with the club’s financial difficulties sparking rumours that pretty much every first-team regular will be sold in the European summer.
Villa need to raise £40 million to avoid Financial Fair Play sanctions and key players like Jack Grealish, Andre Green, Keinan Davis and Mile Jedinak have been linked with transfers away from the club. John Terry, Robert Snodgrass, Lewis Grabban and Sam Johnstone have already departed.
Yet it seems Adomah will not join this list, even though the 30-year-old Black Stars winger was Villa’s Player of the Year after scoring a career-best 15 goals in 2017/18 and is regarded as one of their most ‘sell-able’ assets.
Adomah is reportedly happy with life in Birmingham, after joining from Middlesbrough in 2016 in a swap deal involving Adama Traore, and would like to remain in England’s second-biggest city for the foreseeable future.
It is understood that the Ghanaian’s representatives were even in discussions over a new contract with Villa prior to the promotion playoff final defeat to Fulham last month.
