Despite talks that Kaizer Chiefs are interested in signing Thabo Rakhale and Cape Town City are keen on Mark Mayambela from Chippa United, the Chilli Boys have rubbished the reports.
The Port Elizabeth-based side said they have not received offers for the two players from Amakhosi or the Citizens ahead of the 2018/19 Premier Soccer League season.
According to Siviwe Mpengesi, he said his club is yet to receive offers for Rakhale and Mayambela, but they will not stand in their way if big clubs come calling for their services.
Both players were instrumental for the Chilli Boys in the late stages of the 2017/18 season although the club failed to finish the campaign among the top eight teams in the Absa Premiership.
"Look, we have heard those rumours, but no official offer came to us," Mpengesi told Vodacom Soccer.
"We are a club that entertains everyone that comes especially if you bring something that we want on the table.
"So we are still waiting. There is also nothing for Mayambela as well. Not at the moment.
"There were rumours, but John Comitis confirmed that he does not need him."
Rakhale made 15 starts and scored two goals in his first season at Chippa having joined from Orlando Pirates, where he was deemed surplus to requirements.
On the other hand, Mayambela made 20 appearances in all competitions and netted two goals along the way.
