1' - The game is undeway.

5' - Suarez whips the ball into the Egypt box for his Uruguay team-mate Cavani, but goalkeeper El-Shenawy collects the cross with ease.

10' - Cavani finds some space on the edge of the Egypt box and he forces El-Shenawy into a good low shot as Uruguay register the first shot on target.

15' - The Pharaohs of Egypt push forward in numbers and Trezeguet forces keeper Muslera into a low save at the near-post.

20' - The Sky Blue are struggling to find their rhythm thus far with the Pharaohs pressing them.

25' - Egypt striker Mohsen turns on the edge of the Uruguay box and he unleashes a low shot which is easily saved by keeper Muslera.

30' - It remains goalless here in  Yekaterinburg  as we reach the half-hour mark.

35' - Nandez's header from range is easily gathered by El-Shenawy as Uruguay look to break the deadlock.

40' - Uruguay defence which is lad by Hegazy has done well to keep Uruguay's world class strikers Suarez and Cavani quiet thus far as we approach the half-time break.

45' - The fourth official has added one minute.

HALF-TIME: Egypt 0-0 Uruguay.

46' - The second-half is underway.

50' - CHANCE! Cavani sents Suarez through on goal, but the latter is bravely denied by El-Shenawy from close range.

50' - Egypt sub: Hamed OUT, Morsey IN.

55' - Egypt head coach Hector Cuper was forced to make a change with Hamed injured. The Pharaohs' star forward Mohamed Salah remains on the bench.

58' - Uruguay sub: Nandez OUT, C.Sanchez IN.

59' - Uruguay sub: De Arrascaeta OUT, C.Rodriguez IN.

60' - The score still 0-0 as we reach the hour-mark with Egypt having frustrated Uruguay.

65' - The Sky Blue continue to apply some pressure on the Pharaohs defence, but they are struggling to create clear cut chances.

70' - Fathi tries his luck from range and Muslera denies him with a good diving save as Egypt look to open the scoring.

75' - Suarez is sent through on goal, but he fails to shot and El-Shenawy snatches the ball away from the Uruguay attacker. End-to-end stuff.

80' - Both teams are now launching attacks in search of a late winning goal.

82' - Egypt sub: Warda OUT, Sobhi IN.

85' - GREAT SAVE! Suarez finds his Uruguay team-mate Cavani, whose left-footed volley is pushed away by El-Shenawy.

87' - Uruguay sub: Vecino OUT, Torreira IN.

89' - GOAL! Egypt 0-1 Uruguay. Gimenez scored with a powerful header from Sanchez's corner-kick to hand the Blue Sky the lead.

The win takes Uruguay to second place on the Group A standings after match day one, while the Pharaohs are placed third on the table.
