Russia will want to finish their Group A assignments with a win as they meet Uruguay on Monday in the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
The hosts have had a brilliant run in the tournament so far as they have bagged two wins out of three and will be motivated to win this one.
Russia opened with a clash against Saudi Arabia on June 14 as they cruised to a 5-0 win. In their second clash they met Egypt who were hoping to stop them, but they handed the Pharaohs a 2-1 defeat to secure their spot in the knockout stages.
The Uruguayans have also had a fine run so far as they have bagged two wins over the North Africans and the Saudis as well.
The likes of Edinson Cavani and Luis Suarez are set to pose a threat to the Russian defence which has conceded one goal so far.
However, the only concern for Uruguay is that they won their games with a single goal and will want to rectify that heading to the knockout stages.
Meanwhile, the two nations have met once in 2012 and the match ended in a 1-1 draw in an international friendly.
The encounter will be staged at 16:00 (CAT) and the venue is Samara Arena (Samara) in Russia.
