Ex-Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Edmore Chirambadare is currently training with Maritzburg United as he wants to remain in the South African Premier Soccer League.
The Zimbabwean international was off-loaded by the Soweto giants at the end of the 2017/8 PSL season and is now looking to secure his future at Maritzburg.
According to the Independent Media website, the left-footed winger is trying to impress the Team of Choice’s technical team led by Fadlu Davids.
"Ed is in Maritzburg. He started training with the team this morning. He will be there for the few weeks. The coach (Fadlu Davids) is a big admirer of the boy but want to assess him closely," a source stated.
The side from the KwaZulu-Natal midlands had a fantastic run last term finishing fourth on the Absa Premiership log as well as reaching the Nedbank Cup final.
However, the player’s agent Mike Ngobeni was not willing to confirm or deny the developments, saying they will talk when the Warrriors’ international signs.
“At this pointing time, I can't comment about Edmore until he signed for his next club," said Ngobeni of M-Sport-Management.
Under coach Steve Komphela, Chirambadare struggled for game time at Amakhosi during his tenure at the club and will want to stay in the lucrative PSL.
