Premier League club Leicester City are reportedly keen on signing Burkina Faso forward Bertrand Traore from Olympique Lyon.
The former Chelsea player signed permanently for the Ligue 1 club in 2017, having had a successful spell on loan at Eredivisie giants Ajax Amsterdam in 2016/17.
Yahoo! Sport claim that Traore is a target for Leicester, who see the Burkinabe player as a replacement for Algerian star Riyad Mahrez.
The North African in on the verge of joining Premier League champions Manchester City for a club-record fee.
Leicester manager Claude Puel is said to be a fan of Traore, who racked up 13 goals and four assists for Lyon in Ligue 1 last season.
The 22-year-old is contracted to the French club until June 2022 and is worth €18million according to respected website Transfermarkt.
Traore, who was born in Bobo-Dioulasso in Burkina Faso, has been on the books of AJ Auxerre, Chelsea, Vitesse, Ajax and Lyon in his club career.
He has a record of two goals and one assist from 10 appearances in the Premier League, which came at Chelsea in the 2015/16 season.
Traore has over 40 caps for the Burkina Faso national team under his belt and made his debut in September 2011 mere days before his 16th birthday. He has been to three Africa Cup of Nations tournaments – 2012, 2015 and 2017.
