Ghanaian goalkeeper Jordan Yamoah Amissah has signed with English Championship side Sheffield United.

According to Ghana Soccer Net, the club has announced the signing of the young Ghanaian goalkeeper.

It is reported that the 16-year-old spent time with Holsterhausen Herne, Bochum and Schalke 04 before joining Borussia Dortmund.

Amissah kept a clean sheet on his Dortmund U17 debut in June against Düsseldorf as the Germans bagged the U17 Bundesliga.

Although Amissah is yet to decide his international career, he can either represent Germany or the West Africans.

Meanwhile, the net minder will head to Sheffield hoping to become a first-team star for the Blades in South Yorkshire.

"Preparations are underway at Shirecliffe as we look forward to hopefully another positive season for both development age groups,” said academy manager Travis Binnion on the club’s website.

"We'll be looking for progress from all those within the group and hopefully a few can impress the first-team management during the campaign.

"As always, I'm grateful to work of our recruitment team, led by Steve Holmes, as they continue to work hard behind the scenes to make our group stronger."
