Turkish SuperLig giants Besiktas have set their sights on Algeria and Leicester City forward Islam Slimani, according to Foto Spor.
Slimani joined the 2016 English Premier League champions in 2016 when he became a record signing for Leicester, but he has failed to live up to his price tag at the King Power Stadium.
Scoring 48 goals in 82 league games in Portugal for Sporting, Slimani certainly knows how to find the back of the net when given the correct service as he is lethal in the air.
However, he has not found the back of the net on a regular basis at Leicester and Besiktas, who were linked with him last winter, have registered an interest once again.
Leicester reportedly prefer to sell Slimani, rather than loan him out for a second time after helping the Foxes reach the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League where they remained unbeaten at home throughout their entire European campaign.
Slimani has also been targeted by West Ham United, former club Sporting and Fenerbahce this summer as his time at Leicester is set to come to an end.
Having spent time on loan at Newcastle United, the North African international failed to find the back of the net for the Magpies in his short spell at the Premier League club.
