Ghanaian defender Kadiri Mohamed has found the back of the net for the first time for his new club Austria Wien on Monday.
Mohamed scored against Arsenal Tula in a 2-2 draw in their pre-season friendly as they prepare for the 2018/19 Austrian Bundesliga season.
The 22-year-old defender scored his first goal for the Violets with manager Thomas Letsch’s men taking the initiative in the 23rd minute through the Ghanaian.
Notwithstanding the lead, Arsenal Tula took the lead thanks to Sergey Tkachev’s second half brace.
Thomas Salamon levelled matters for the Violets as the match ended with no winner.
Mohammed joined Letsch’s side from Ashanti Gold SC in the Ghanaian Premier League and the defender will be hoping this goalscoring feat propels him to success when his side tackles Borussia Dortmund on Friday.
Meanwhile, the Violets are gunning for an improved outing this season following their seventh place finish last term with 43 points from 36 outings.
