Olympique Marseille attacker Clinton N’Jie is in hot water the Cameroon FA over two incidents of misbehaviour from the national team’s last camp in May.
The 24-year-old first turned up a day late (May 25 instead of May 24) ahead of Cameroon’s international friendly against Burkina Faso on May 27.
He is also alleged to have brought two women into his hotel room, who were later expelled on a noise complaint.
A leaked letter from the Cameroon FA, directed to N’Jie and dated June 28, has asked the player to explain himself.
"You have brought two girls to your room according to the management of the hotel, who were expelled because of the nuisance induced,” states the letter in regards to the latter infraction.
Cameroon lost the match against the Burkinabe 1-0 in Beauvais, Northern France, with N’Jie only appearing as a second-half substitute.
The Indomitable Lions will return to competitive action in September when they play the Comoros away in a 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.
N’Jie, who has been with Marseille since August 2016 (first on loan, then as a permanent signing from Tottenham Hotspur), may feature for the Ligue 1 giants later today when they play Beziers in their first pre-season friendly.
