Egyptian Premier League side Smouha SC have completed the signing of Guinea striker Yamodou Traore on a three-year deal.
The Syli Nationale U20 star gained prominence at the 2017 U20 African Cup of Nations as he put in wonderful performances to lead Guinea to the FIFA World Cup.
He also scored Guinea’s equaliser against Egypt in the group stages and resulting from his performances, Touré was named as one of the substitutes for the best eleven from the tournament.
According to the KingFut website, Traore is a product of Horoya AC’s youth system and moved to Anderlecht’s reserve team in the 2017 summer transfer window.
Before signing for Smouha, he was also heavily linked with Zamalek and joins the Egyptian side after they have lost star keeper El-Mahdy Soliman to newly named Pyramids FC.
Moreover, the club has recently made two signings in keeper Essam Tharwat and midfielder Sherif Reda both from Pyramids.
The young striker landed in Alexandria on Wednesday at the Alexandria-based club and can potentially make his debut when Smouha face Misr El-Makkasa in the first week of the Egyptian Premier League.
