United States of America’s Los Angeles FC have transferred Egyptian midfielder Omar Gaber to Pyramids FC on a loan deal.

The move has ended speculation regarding the player’s future and the Major League Soccer outfit has confirmed the move.

Gaber joined Switzerland’s FC Basel in the summer of 2016, but he failed to establish himself with the Swiss club having only made a total of 17 appearances.

He was loaned to Los Angeles FC last November where he made seven appearances, but he has now been shipped out to the Egyptian Premier League side.

Gaber was part of the Pharaohs squad that participated in the ongoing 2018 FIFA World Cup, although he was not used by Argentine coach Hector Cuper.

“We would like to thank Omar for his contributions to the Club. We wish him great success as he continues his career back in Egypt,” said LAFC coach Bob Bradley.

The club is believed to be owned by Saudi's Sports Minister Turki Al-Sheikh and has been making a big recruitment drive to strengthen their ranks ahead of the upcoming season.
