Rayon Sports of Rwanda are out to stun USM Alger in their second CAF Confederation Cup, Group D match on Wednesday afternoon.
The clash will be staged at 18:00 (CAT) at the Stade Regional de Nyamirambo in Kigali.
The Rwandan outfit is yet to taste a victory in the tournament so far and will hope to start doing so in front of their home crowd.
Rayon drew their first two matches against Gor Mahia of Kenya and Tanzania’s Young Africans as they sit third in the group.
They have two points from as many draws and playing at home pushes them to beat the group favourites in the form of Alger.
For the North Africans, Alger sit at the top of the table with four points from a win and a draw so far.
They opened their campaign with a 4-0 win over Yanga, but were held to a goalless draw against Gor and will now target a win.
Should they emerge as victors on Wednesday, they will move to seven points and cement their spot at the summit as maximise their knockout stage qualification aspirations.
The two sides have never met in any competition before.
