Zesco United and C.D. Primeiro de Agosto drew 0-0 in the 2018 CAF Champions League Group D match at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Zambia on Tuesday.

As a result, Zambian side Zesco and Angola's Agosto remain third, and fourth respectively on the Group D standings.

Zega Mambo dominated the game match from the start with Lameck Banda causing havoc for the D'Agosto defence with his pace and trickery.

Agosto goalkeeper Toni was forced to produce two good saves within the first five minutes of the encounter.

The goal-minder denied Kondwani Mtonga, who was looking to score with a header from Banda's delightful cross.

Before pushing away Lazarous Kambole's effort from close range as Toni kept the Zega Mambo attackers at bay.

Zega Mambo continued to control the match and they nearly scored in the 25th minute, but Kambole was denied by Toni with a great save.

Banda, who is a Zambia international, was able to test Toni six minutes before the half-time break after beating his marker.

The skillful winger tried to beat Toni at the near post, but Toni produced a fine low save to ensure that the first-half ended goalless.

The score was 0-0 at the interval between Zesco and Agosto.

D'Agosto were able to contain the home side in the first 15 minutes of the second-half.

Zesco head coach George Lwandamina decided to introduce Winston Kalengo, who is a striker by trade as Zega Mambo looked to break the deadlock.

Banda found some space outside the Agosto box in the 71st minute and he unleashed a low shot which was saved by Toni.

Zego Mambo continued to push for the opening goal and Kalengo's attempt was blocked by Chow in the 78th minute as D'Agosto looked to contain Zesco in the dying minutes.

Fackson Kampumbu, the Zesco full-back, pushed forward in the 81st minute and he pulled the trigger from range, but his effort narrowly missed the target.

Agosto then stood firm at the back in the closing stages of the game and ultimately, the game ended in a 0-0 stalemate.
