USM Alger look to maintain top spot against Rayon Sports

Kahraba are heading into this match sitting at the top of the group standings having accumulated seven points from their first three games.

The Algerian side, who reached the semi-finals of the 2002 CAF Cup Winners Cup, thumped Tanzania side Young Africans 4-0 in their first Group D game at home, before drawing 0-0 with Kenyan outfit Gor Mahia away.

Meanwhile, Rayon are placed third on the group standings having accumulated two points from two matches.

The Dunu Slayers remain winless in the group stage after losing to Alger and they will be desperate to secure their first win on Sunday.

The Rwandan side, who reached the quarter-finals of the 2002 CAF Confederation Cup, drew with Gor Mahia at home in their first Group D game, before recording another draw against Young Africans away.

Burkina Faso match referee Juste Ephrem Zio will take charge of the game between Alger and Rayon.

The other Group D game between Young Africans and Gor Mahia will take place at the National Stadium in Dar Es Salaam on Sunday at 21h00 CAT.

The top two teams from the group will advance to the quarter-finals of the competition after match day six of the group stage.
