Sunday, July 29 saw matchday four of the 2018 CAF Confederation Cup’s group stage saw Williamsville AC and Al Masry move to the top of their groups.

The first game of the day was between DR Congo giants AS Vita Club and Ghanaian side Aduana Stars in Kinshasa. Vita brushed aside Aduana 2-0 and they climbed up to second spot on the table, while their opponents moved to third place.

In Casablanca, Moroccan giants Raja Casablanca thumped Ivorian champions ASEC 4-0 and the former moved to the top of Group A standings with two matches left. The defeat left Mimosas placed fourth on the standings.

Egyptian club Al Masry secured a hard-fought 1-0 win over Moroccan side RB Berkane in Port Said. As a result, Al Masry climbed to the top of the Group B standings, while Berkane slipped down to second place on the table.

In Beira, Mozambican outfit Songo were frustrated by Sudanese giants Al Hilal as the two teams played to a 1-1 stalemate. The result saw Songo and Al Hilal remain fourth, and third respectively on the Group B standings.

A Group C encounter between Ivorian club Williamsville AC and Nigeria giants Enyimba took place in Abidjan. Williamsville climbed to the top of the group standings after stunning Enyimba 2-0 on the day. Enyimba slipped down to third place.

Congo-Brazzaville side CARA Brazaville also a narrow 1-0 win over Malian outfit Djoliba in Brazzaville. As a result, Brazzaville moved up to second place on the Group C standings, while Djoliba remained fourth on the table.

In Dar es Salaam, Tanzanian giants Young Africans succumbed to a 3-2 defeat to Kenyan champions Gor Mahia. The victory took Gor Mahia to second placed on the Group D standings, while Young Africans are placed fourth on the log.

Lastly, Algerian club USM Alger were held to a 1-1 stalemate by a stubborn Rayon Sport side in Blida. The result saw Alger return to the top of the Group D standings, while Rayon are placed third on the table
