Mamelodi Sundowns have confirmed that both Andile Jali and Anthony Laffor will miss the club's 2018-19 Absa Premiership opener against Kaizer Chiefs at Loftus Stadium this Saturday.

Jali, who joined the Brazilians in the off-season, is sidelined with a hamstring injury. Laffor suffered a similar injury, but has resumed light training, the Liberia international, though, will also play not part in tomorrow's clash.

Furthermore, Sibusiso Vilakazi and Oupa Manyisa are also a doubt for the match and will both undergo and late fitness test to determine if they will be fit to take on the Amakhosi.

Sundowns and Chiefs kick-off the league season in what is expected to be an enthralling clash, with the Glamour Boys eager to prove their worth against the defending champions.

Pitso Mosimane's men beat their Gauteng counterparts 2-1 in Shell Helix Ultra Cup at FNB Stadium last month.
