Now former Mamelodi Sundowns goalkeeper Razak Brimah has revealed why he had to leave the South African champions.

Brimah, 31, joined the Brazilians on a three-year-deal last year following spells at Spanish clubs CD Tenerife, Córdoba, CD Guadalajara and CD Mirandés.

His stay at Chloorkop. though, came to a premature end with the shot-stopper having only donned the club's jersey on six occasions across all competitions.

"I want to play regularly, but that was not coming [at Sundowns]," Brimah told GHANASoccernet.com. " I sat down with the club and the best thing was [to terminate my contract] by mutual consent.”

Sundowns moved swiftly in finding a replacement for the Ghana international with Reyaad Pieterse making the move from SuperSport United.
