Ghana international Jordan Ayew is ready to step up his game following a move to English Premier League club Crystal Palace on Deadline Day.
The Eagles confirmed the signing of the 26-year-old on a season long loan-deal from Swansea City late on Thursday evening, with Ayew making a return to England's top-flight following relegation last season.
Ayew scored 11 goals for the Swans - including a goal at Selhurst Park - but couldn't help the Welsh club avoid the chop.
“I am very pleased to be here. It’s been a long transfer window but finally I got a move," Ayew told his new club's official website. "The important thing for me now is to get fit and to be in good shape, and I know the manager wants to use me up front and make things happen.
“The manager, chairman and sporting director all made an effort for me to be here today, so I have to thank them. I am looking forward to playing with the boys and meet the fans, and hopefully it’ll be a good season.
Ayew continued: "I chose to come to Palace to continue improving. It’s a step up for me and I’m ready for the challenge and to get to where I think I can get to.”
The former Marseille, Sochaux, Lorient and Aston Villa forward could make his debut for Eagles away to newly promoted Fulham on Saturday.
