16h30 - Enjoy the English Premier League fixture between Arsenal and Manchester City, set to come up at 17h00 CAT. Later tonight at 22h00, Barcelona and Sevilla do battle in the Spanish Super Cup. Eintracht Frankfurt and Bayern Munich to battle in the German Super Cup at 20h30 CAT.

16h25 - Mohamed Salah scored the opening goal, Sadio Mane bagged a brace as Liverpool recorded a 4-0 win over West Ham United at Anfield. Naby Keita was also particularly impressive for the hosts. Elsewhere, Southampton and Burnley played to a goalless draw.

16h15 - Daniel Sturridge makes it 4-0 to Liverpool who are cruising to victory at Anfield. Still goalless at St.Mary's.

16h05 - Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Gabon) starts for Arsenal in Unai Emery's first English Premier League match in charge of the Gunners. Alex Iwobi (Nigeria) and Mohamed Elneny (Egypt) named among the substitutes. Riyad Mahrez (Algeria) starts for Manchester City at the Emirates.

15h50 - Liverpool still well in command at Anfield with Sadio Mane hoping to bag another -  in doing so he will complete another top-flight hat-trick.

15h40 - Sadio Mane completes his brace as Liverpool power into a 3-0 lead at Anfield. Real statement of intent by the Reds!

 

15h35 - Back underway in the two English Premier League fixtures. Liverpool 2-0 West Ham United. Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane on target for the Reds. Southampton 0-0 Burnley.

15h30 - Burkina Faso star Betrand Traore has given Lyon the lead in their French Ligue 1 clash against Amiens.

15h20 - Liverpool in control at the break thanks to goals from Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane. Still goalless in the match between Southampton and Burnley.

15h15 - AFRICA ON THE DOUBLE! Sadio Mane doubles Liverpool's lead in first-half added time.



15h05 - Thulani Serero (South Africa) is currently in action for Vitesse in the Dutch Eredivisie. They are at home to Groningen who have Mimoun Mahi (Morocco) in their starting 11.

14h55 - Plenty of African interest as Lyon take on Amiens in the French Ligue 1. Former Chelsea attacker Bertrand Traore (Burkina Faso) starts for the hosts. Khaled Adenon (Benin), Bakaye Dibassy (Mali), Oualid El Hajjam (Morocco) and Moussa Konate (Senegal) all start for Amiens. Bongani Zungu (South Africa) misses out due to injury.

14h50 - THEY'VE GOT SALAH. Mohamed Salah is up and running in the English Premier League. The Egyptian with an  easy tap-in following good work down the left flank.

14h45 - Fabianski with a good save to deny Sadio Mane as the Reds push for the opener. West Ham, though, are holding their own thus far. Goalless after 15 minutes at Anfield.

14h35 - Mario Lemina (Gabon) starts for Southampton who will be aiming to get their campaign off to a winning start. The Saints are at home to Burnley at St.Mary's.

14h30 - Arthur Masuaku (DR Congo) is involved from the onset for the Hammers who will be out to upset last year's UEFA Champions League runners-up.

14h25 - No fewer than three African players involved from the onset for Liverpool as they welcome West Ham United to Anfield. Mohamed Salah (Egypt), Sadio Mane (Senegal) and - on debut - Naby Keita (Guinea) are all involved from the onset for the Reds.
