Ghanaian Premier League (GPL) giants Accra Hearts of Oak have beefed up their technical team as they prepare for the resumption of the 2018 campaign.
The GPL was suspended until further notice at the beginning of June 2018 after the Ghana Football Association (GFA) was dissolved.
Hearts have brought in Fowad Mohammed as their new physiotherapist. The experienced physio has worked in Sudan. The club made the announcement on its official website:
A club statement read:”Accra Hearts of Oak has appointed Fowad Mohammed as a physiotherapist for the club.”
“Fowad previously worked with Heart of Lions, Red Bull Academy-Sogakope, the University of Ghana and Sudanese topflight side El-Nasul FC. Fowad joins Aliu Adjetey (Ozee Ozaa) as one of the two physiotherapists for the club.”
“Fowad brings along over 10 years of working experience and has promised to bring his expertise to bare on the success story of the club.”
“Everyone at Accra Hearts of Oak wish him the best of success in his new role.”
Hearts are one of the most successful teams in the history of the GPL having won 20 titles. They will be hoping to clinch their first title since 2009 this season.
They will face stiff competition from their fierce rivals Asante Kotoko and Medeama, who have established themselves as one of the top teams in the league in recent years.
