RS Berkane netted two fine goals to move top of Group B and officially end Al-Hilal's chances of reaching the 2018 CAF Confederations Cup knockout stages, at the Al-Hilal Stadium in Omdurman on Sunday evening.
Kodjo Fo-Doh Lab and Alain Traore found the back of the net in a 2-0 win for the Moroccan club as they successfully capitalized on Al-Masry's 1-1 draw with UD Songo in Beria earlier today.
Victory for Berkane have subsequently booked their place in the knockout stages alongside Egyptian outfit Al-Masry.
The Oranges have accumulated 10 points from from five matches, one more than Al-Masry who host Al-Hilal in Port Said later this month. Berkane welcome already eliminated Songo in their final game of the group stages.
Berkane opened the scoring through Kodjo in the 40th minute of the clash. The Togolese forward powered into the area before firing the ball into the corner of the net to bag a timely goal for the visitors.
Burkina Faso international Alain Traore made sure of the result in the 64th minute of the clash with a left-footed rocket on his continental debut for the club, as Berkane claimed all three points.
