According to reports, Kaizer Chiefs stalwart Siphiwe Tshabalala is set to sign a two-year-deal with Turkish Super Lig club Erzurumspor.
Tshabalala, 33, has played an integral part in Chiefs success over the past decade since his move to Naturena from fellow Absa Premiership club Free State Stars.
Despite several reports linking the midfielder with a move away from the Glamour Boys, head coach Giovanni Solinas remained coy as Chiefs set their sights on downing SuperSport United in the MTN8 this weekend.
“I don’t speak about the transfer of players‚” Solinas said on Thursday.
“I speak about the players who I have in the squad.
“Tshabalala was training with my team this morning‚ as normal. Because when they are in Kaizer Chiefs‚ I coach these players – no problem.
“But I can’t speak about the transfer of players.”
The origin of the reports are not clear and despite the rumours picking up pace it will come as a surprise if Tshabalala were to move abroad at this stage of his career.
Chiefs this week announced the signing of Lebogang Manynama. The attacker returned to the club following an unsuccessful spell in Turkey.
